I like to take pictures when I am out and about in Portland, Oregon. A lot of the times when I see street art or large murals that have popped up on a building somewhere I will snap a picture of it for showing on my blog. There are some really fantastic pieces I have found over the years and here are a couple more for the collection.

The above 2 photos were taken, well, at Mary’s Showgirls on the corner of 5th and West Burnside. I’ve been inside a couple times. Both times with friends who wanted to go. I’m personally not into going to such establishments but I don’t find anything wrong with it. It’s just not for me. I was more interested in the artwork around the building I think. But don’t me wrong, there were some beautiful women inside. I was raised by my mother and have a bunch of sisters so respect for women was taught to me at a young age. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with such establishments, it’s just not for me.

Now here’s a particularly beautiful mural I saw painted on a wall in downtown Portland. It’s a beautiful and somewhat whimsical scene of nature illuminated by an out of place lamp. I like how the ring around the image might be the path of illumination or maybe just decoration and the seemingly shadow-esque images behind the image of plant life. If I recall correctly this was taken near the Skidmore Fountain area.
That’s about it for this session. Enjoy

Actually this was taken near 13th and Yamhill downtown.
